Don Milani Nursery School
Our school has a long tradition of welcoming students with special needs and immigrants. In our area there is a strong presence of immigrants from southern Italy since the 70s and now from other European countries (Albania, Romania, Poland, Ukraine etc.), from Africa, Asia and South America, so our schools are enriched by cultural pluralism. Also, we have many students with special needs.

The school is located in the northern area of the municipality of San Giovanni Valdarno (district of Arezzo, Tuscany). Our town has medieval origin, with a deep historical and artistic culture. San Giovanni Valdarno is the native land of the famous painter Masaccio, whose works can be admired in many churches of Florence. In San Giovanni Valdarno worked many other medieval and renaissance artists, too. Their works are well preserved in the main churches of the town and in the town Museum, named “Museo della Basilica”
We have a good location environment with many green areas, our town enjoys the proximity to Florence, Arezzo and Siena. Altough San Giovanni was founded by the will of Florence during the XIV century, the inhabitants respect local traditions, historical feasts and festivals.
