We have a large 115 m2 sports hall with 6 dressing rooms and 3 large outdoor sports fields. There is also a library. Three classrooms are equipped with personal computers and projectors and three classrooms are modern and have a smart board. The lessons start at 8.15 and finish at 4 p.m. All students are provided with, a warm meal at the school canteen. The food comes from the local suppliers and it’s fresh and diverse.
We promote a Violence free school programme. Our students and teachers attend courses on how to participate and make a better community. At school we have various activities that are promoted at public events during the school year at Day of School, Valentine's Day, Fašnik (Carneval), Christmas and Sports Days. We are very active in sports. Our students participate in school and interschool competitions in handball, football, table tennis, chess and dancing.
We participate in many projects. The school has carried out many activities to raise awareness of the importance topics such as diversity, tolerance and active citizenship. Our school, along with ten others in Croatia, was named "School of Philanthropy".
Our school attends 515 students, out of which 205 are students of the Roma national minority. In addition to differences in nationality and ethical affiliation, there is a marked difference in the socioeconomic status of students, so the topic of accepting diversity is the subject that always gives much attention through projects and activities in our school.
The goal of entering new projects is to involve students in organizing events and projects to develop organizational skills and awareness of the importance of personal activities for the benefit of the local community, Europe and democracy.
