Bilingual school ‘Saint Gilles’
Our school is located in the South of Brittany. The name of your city is Hennebont and we are a small neighbourhood school in a somewhat rural place. The school comprises 10 classes with 240 pupils in total. We are 5 bilingual classes (French/Breton) and 5 monolingual classes with one of them being Montessori style for children aged 3/6 years old.
We have 4 classes of kindergarten, from 2 to 6 years old, and 6 classes of primary school for children aged from 6 to 10 years old. There is nursery/day-care in the mornings, in the evenings and the canteen, all within the school.
We work on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:45am to 12am and from 1:30pm to 4:30pm. Our pupils like doing sports and the court yard of course like all the kids do but they also like being with their teachers, thankfully!
I am Noëlle, the headmistress since 18 years and I don’t notice how time flies! I am helped in my work with Isabelle who is my secretary.
